How about a little nominate/second script on ftoomsh for people to confirm 
their nominations/seconds?  

That way it's pretty much impossible to fake unless you have access to 
someone else's account, and I'm sure that out of a society of Programmers 
there should be little difficulty in making such a thing (it's not like it 
has to be too complex).
