No problems with PuTTY on my Win2K box either. Maybe you've got a virus
embedded in your executable or something... =)

If not, try out the new beta 0.52 that's just been posted on their site
and see if that works for you. Just to be on the safe side, try it out on
the ITD computers *first*. =)
