Firstly, I have been a bit busy and have not sent off my registration.  I
don't want to loose this account.  The form has a field for number of
years, but the only option is one, and I don't want to spoof your form.  I
would be quite happy to subscribe for ten years.

Secondly,  I am happy with pine, but understand why you don't want me to
use it.  I have tried mutt and elm, but over this laggy link, they are too
awkwardi(until you get into vi for mutt).  Do you have any other
sugestrions?  The best option is web-mail
but that would require having it running which may be difficult with a
volunteer work-force.
